DIRECT DETERMINATION OF THE CRITICAL PARAMETERS FOR SEVERAL REFRIGERANTS.

Summary
THE COEXISTENCE CURVES FOR 99.99 WT% R12, 99.99 WT% R22, 99.965 WT% R13B1 AND R502 WERE MEASURED IN THE CRITICAL ZONE BY OBSERVING THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THE MENISCUS AT THE VAPOUR-LIQUID INTERFACE. BASED ON THESE MEASUREMENTS AT REDUCED TEMPERATURE AND DENSITY, CRITICAL TEMPERATURE AND DENSITY WERE DETERMINED WITH AN UNCERTAINTY OF + OR -10 MILLIK AND + OR -3 KG/M3, RESPECTIVELY. THE CRITICAL PRESSURE WAS CALCULATED WITH THE CORRELATION OF VAPOUR PRESSURE BY USING THE DETERMINED CRITICAL TEMPERATURE.
