Summary
THE AUTHORS MEASURED THE VAPOUR-LIQUID COEXISTENCE CURVES OF R12-R22, R22-R114, R13B1-R114 AND R152A-R114 MIXTURES IN THE CRITICAL REGION BY OBSERVING MENISCUS DISAPPEARANCE AT THE VAPOUR-LIQUID INTERFACE. THE CRITICAL CURVES OF FOUR MIXTURES WERE DETERMINED BY CONSIDERING THE DISAPPEARING MENISCUS LEVEL AND THE INTENSITY OF CRITICAL OPALESCENCE. THE AUTHORS DISCUSS THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE THERMODYNAMIC BEHAVIOUR OF THE VAPOUR-LIQUID COEXISTENCE CURVE AND THE THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF EACH PURE COMPONENT.
