DOUBLE AIR-JET FOR ASEPTIC CONTAINMENT: A TRANSFER FROM THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY TO THE FOOD SECTOR.

LE CONFINEMENT ASEPTIQUE PAR DOUBLE-JET PLAN : UN TRANSFERT DE TECHNOLOGIE DU NUCLEAIRE VERS L'AGROALIMENTAIRE.

Author(s) : MAUGUIN P., GUETRON R.

Summary

THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHILLED AND MINIMALLY PROCESSED FOODS MAKES THE COMMAND OF MICROBIAL CONTAMINATIONS STRATE PARTICULARLY, THERE'S A NEED FOR BARRIER TECHNOLOGIES ENABLING THE MAINTENANCE OF CONTROLLED ATMOSPHERES, WITHOUTANY MICROBIAL CONTAMINATION. PREVIOUSLY, SGN AND CEA DEVELOPED FOR THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY A DOUBLE AIR-CURTAIN AS A PROTECTION BARRIER AGAINST INTERNAL RADIOACTIVE PARTICLES (COMING FROM THE PROCESS). THE WORK SHOWS THE EFFICIENCY OF THAT DOUBLE-CURTAIN, AS A PROTECTION BARRIER AGAINST EXTERNAL AIRLIFTED CONTAMINATIONS. RESEARCH WILL BE CARRIED ON (ULTRA-CLEAN FOOD FACTORIES).
