Ecological safety of natural refrigerants in domestic refrigerating equipment. Illusions and reality.

Summary

Further developing methods of TEWI (Total Equivalent Warming Impact) analysis, in which it is taken into account the additional emission of carbon dioxide connected with the energy consumption of manufacturing the refrigerating equipment and its operation, is suggested. The TEWI concept is analyzed taking into consideration all the energy consumption connected with the production of cold. That energy contributes considerably to the TEWI value.
