Summary
Half-ripe banana fruits treated with 100 ppm AgNO3 and packed in corrugated paper boxes with 1.0% KMnO4 impregnated blotting paper sheets proved most effective in reducing rot and maintained the physical appearance and quality of fruits in fresh condition for 8 days without appreciable effect on the physicochemical characteristics under ambient temperature.
