Summary
The possibility of inducing reddening in cv Annurca apples through cold artificial light after fruit storage at 0 deg C was studied. The light exposure time was 15 days, both in winter and in spring, and the temperatures tested were 5, 10 and 15 deg C. The best reddening of skin was obtained at 15 deg C, while firmness, acidity, juiciness and total soluble solids didn't seem to differ significantly, as compared to the control samples.
