Summary

BY THE LOW-TEMPERATURE DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETRY MEASUREMENTS, A LARGER RECRYSTALLIZATION PEAK WAS OBSERVED WHEN GLUCOSE OR SUCROSE AQUEOUS SOLUTION INSTEAD OF PURE WATER WAS ADDED TO SEPHADEX (G-25). WATER WAS CONSIDERED TO PENETRATE MORE OR LESS PREFERENTIALLY INTO THE PORES OF G-25 AND TO BE COMPARTMENTALIZED MORE COMPLETELY BY THE GEL MATRICES AND THE SOLUTION CONCENTRATED AROUND THEM.
