Summary

PHENOTYPIC MEANS OF SEVERAL EGG QUALITY TRAITS FOR 0, 7, 14 AND 21 DAYS OF STORAGE PERIODS AT 285 TO 287 K (12 TO 14 DEG C) WERE STUDIED OF A RED STRAIN IRAQI TURKEY. SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES AMONG FOUR STORAGE PERIODS WERE OBSERVED FOR YOLK HEIGHT AND YOLK INDEX BUT INSIGNIFICANT ONES AMONG OTHER TRAITS. MOISTURE PERCENTAGES AND DAILY MOISTURE LOSSES DURING STORING PERIODS IN ALBUMEN, YOLK AND WHOLE EGG WERE ALSO CALCULATED.
