Summary

THE APPLES (STARKING AND GOLDEN DELICIOUS) ARE TREATED WITH BENZIMIDAZOLE AND IMAZALIL BEFORE COLD STORAGE. THE TEXTURE OF ALL THE FRUIT, TREATED OR NOT, IS SIMILAR. THE ASCORBIC ACID CONTENT AS WELL AS THE TOTAL ACIDITY ARE HIGHER IN TREATED APPLES. THE FUNGICIDE TREATMENT IMPROVES THE RIPENING PROCESS.
