Summary

TWO HAZARDS SHOULD BE ENVISAGED: MOVEMENTS OF THE CARCASS THAT MAY WOUND THE OPERATOR AND ELECTRIC SHOCK THAT MAY CAUSE DEATH. THE FOLLOWING PRECISIONS ARE GIVEN IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE LATTER. WHEN THE PEAK VOLTAGE EXCEEDS 100 V: STIMULATION SHOULD BE DONE EITHER IN ROOMS FOR WHICH THE SHUTTING AND OPENING OF DOORS WILL BE CONTROLLED BY THE MOVEMENT OF CARCASSES, OR IN ROOMS EQUIPPED AT THE INLET AND OUTLET WITH IMMATERIAL BARRIERS. IF THE PLANT IS AT A (PEAK VOLTAGE NOT EXCEEDING 100 V), THE POSITIONING OF THE ELECTRODE AND ITS REMOVAL CAN BE DONE MANUALLY, THE OPERATOR BEING SUFFICIENTLY FAR FROM THE CARCASS DURING SWITCHING ON.
