Summary
With potential energy savings above 1.2 TWh, refrigeration plants deserve that efforts be made towards optimising their consumption. This book, in the "Understanding to be able to act, guides and technical books" series, is published by the Ademe in collaboration with EDF to bring together information necessary for good knowledge of industrial refrigeration and the investigation methods required to guide the actions of technicians during evaluations or diagnostics on refrigeration plants. In addition to technical reminders and reminders of the main principles on plants that can be found in industry, this guide specifies the methods and means that should be implemented to carry out a pre-diagnostic or a quality diagnostic. Diagrams improving the plant making it possible to orientate the expert recommendations are also presented. Extract from the table of contents: refrigeration challenges in industry; how to exploit the pool of savings?; practical index of refrigeration plants; from the study to the action plan; plan to exploit the pool of savings; economic approach and summary. In the appendices: information collection; explanation of the measures and impacts on the balance sheets; measuring and test standards; technical reminders; performance evaluation principle; glossary, symbols and units.
