Summary
The energy consumption of the HVAC system in railway vehicles depends on permanently changing environmental conditions. This is why a standardized climatic test cycle is needed to compare the energy efficiency of different solutions or to be able to calculate energy consumption over a certain period. In the paper, the results of a research study on the development of such a climatic test cycle and the possibilities for using these results for calculation of energy consumption, LCC and energy efficiency are presented.
