Summary
Various supermarket refrigerating plant options are discussed with a view to finding optimal ones in the context of environmental protection (ozone depletion and global warming). Emphasis is placed on systems using secondary refrigerants, in above-zero and below-zero applications. The author also discusses the use of CO2 as a two-phase secondary refrigerant or as the primary refrigerant.
