EPA tests prove emissions of HCFC123 below limits.
Type of article: Article, Review
Summary
Tests in the USA, by the Environmental Protection Agency on 5 large chiller installations, indicate that amounts of R123 in plant room air are well below the recommended exposure limits during normal maintenance and refrigerant transfer procedures. 2 of the rooms had no mechanical ventilation and one of these was a basement. The highest time-weighted average exposure recorded was 0.62 ppm. D.W.H.
