Summary

Briefly reviews the historical development of reciprocating refrigerating compressors, and presents the results of a study of a new ferro-magnetic alloy reciprocating compressor. Describes the characteristics and the performance of this machine. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that this type of compressor has good prospects for development. C.C.
