Evaporative air conditioning for vehicular applications.
Author(s) : MATTIL J. F.
Summary
The author explains water-evaporation air cooling techniques and their applications to passenger transport vehicles. Cooling can be direct, indirect or a combination of both systems. It can be backed up by an extra desiccation system with dessicant regeneration. Large energy savings as compared to conventional compression systems are possible. A manufaturer has already equipped numerous buses in the United States, with this environmentally-safe system.
