Due to the problem with CFCs there is more and more interest in ammonia installations. However, the rules and standards that are applied by the authorities for giving exploitation licences are different from state to state and sometimes even from region to region. The author gives a survey of the procedures and technical specifications in Belgium, Luxemburg and France.
