Field test and numerical study on heat-transfer performance of plate air-cooled condenser.

Number: pap. ID: 516

Author(s) : HUANG X. Q., ZHANG X., YUAN Y.

Summary

Based on field test data, the heat transfer characteristic of plate air-cooled condenser is studied, the physical model of air-cooled unit is built, and the mathematical models of plate heat exchanger and space out of the heat exchanger are established individually. Then the air-cooled unit is simulated using CFD software, and numerical results agree well with actual data, that shows the simulation model is reliable. Then with VAV (variable air volume) numerical simulation, the correlation formula between Nusselt number and Reynolds number is acquired.
