Summary
R134a and polyolester oils are a good alternative for machines now running on R12, from the point of view of both performance and practicality. Encouraging results have been obtained in tests of circulation behaviour. The overall performance of retrofitted machines was equal or superior to the previous system. Laboratory and practical tests will continue in order to confirm these results.
