Global warming impacts of chillers.

Summary

Now that definite policies are being implemented on the problem of the CFCs, attention can be focussed on the further effects of cooling systems on long term global warming. These analyses take into account the CO2 arising from generation of the power input to systems, and are classified according to climatic zones, power generation methods and operational times, and are calculated for different refrigerants. The main conclusions are that improved plant efficiencies and the new refrigerants will prevent any drastic increase in global warming from this source. A.R.T.
