Summary
To select suitable substitutes for CFC refrigerants, values are used that characterize their reaction in the atmosphere. The ozone depletion potential is used for substances with a low influence on stratospheric ozone. To assess global warming impact, the Total Equivalent Warming Impact (TEWI), was developed. TEWI is composed of the combination of the direct and the indirect global warming effect. L.P.
