Heat pump as a part of total energy system.

Summary

The development of tourism on the Adriatic coast and islands is based on the concept of bearing the huge hotel complex systems. The development would be oriented towards smaller hotels of higher category as well as larger annual periods of usage. The result of such strategy is that hotels, apart from thermal and electrical energy supply, need cooling energy too. Cogeneration of electric power, heat and cooling would be a very good solution, and of special interest for small isolated islands along the Adriatic coast. An example of a total energy system application with a 500 kilowatt power generator has been analyzed.
