Heat transfer at evaporation of liquefied propane from porous structures.

Summary

The investigation object was a heat transfer process at propane pool boiling on single horizontal tubes with porous coating and in metal ceramic structures of heat exchanger evaporators with channels for vapour evacuation. The dependence of boiling process on saturation pressure and the influence of porous coating parameters on heat transfer intensity were studied. The results of research show that an application of metal porous electric arc gas-thermal sprayed covering allows a significant increase of the heat flux (from 3 to 8 times according to conditions). The results obtained can be applied in the chemical industry, refrigerator engineering, electronics, etc.
