Heat transfer coefficient of supercritical carbon dioxide.

Author(s) : DANG C., HIHARA E.

Summary

This study focused on the supercritical cooling heat transfer inside a CO2 gas cooler. Theoretical results were obtained based on numerical calculations, and the low Reynolds number kinetic energy of a turbulence-turbulence dissipation rate model was adopted to simulate the in-tube turbulent flow. This experimental study was conducted for average heat transfer coefficients inside a horizontal tube of 6 mm ID, with a length of 1 m. The influences of mass flow rate, pressure and heat flux on heat transfer were analysed.
