Summary

HEAT TRANSFER FROM TUBES HAS BEEN NUMERICALLY SIMULATED IN A FAN COIL UNIT FOR AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT. THE ARRAY OF TUBES HAS PARALLEL LOUVER CONTINUOUS FINS, PERPENDICULAR TO STAGGERED TUBES. SOME SLITS DIVIDE PLATES INTO MANY STRIPS, SO THAT THE HEAT TRANSFER IS AUGMENTED FROM THE PLATE TO THE AIR FLOW. THE CONDUCTION OF HEAT IN THE PLATE CAN BE PREVENTED BY THESE SLITS. THE CONDUCTION RETARDATION DUE TO THE SLITIS ESTIMATED AND THE SIMULATION SHOWS THAT THE RETARDATION IS NOT SERIOUS FOR THESE FINS.
