HFC134a-HFC23: a very promising alternative to HCFC22.
Author(s) : EYNATTEN C. von, DÖRING R., BUCHWALD H.
Summary
The authors introduce R23-R134a refrigerant mixtures with mixing ratios ranging from 2 to 8% (w/w) which demonstrate excellent refrigeration performance. These mixtures are excellently suited to replace R22, especially the mixture with an R23 content of 5% (w/w). The product is readily available and securely usable since both components have an ozone depletion potential of zero and have successfully passed the mandatory thorough toxicological testing procedure.
