HIGH TEMPERATURE HEAT PUMP: COUPLING OF A HEAT PUMP AND VAPOUR MECHANICAL COMPRESSION.

POMPE A CHALEUR A TRES HAUTE TEMPERATURE : COUPLAGE D'UNE POMPE A CHALEUR ET D'UNE COMPRESSION MECANIQUE DE VAPEUR.

Summary

THE AUTHORS PRESENT A HIGH TEMPERATURE CASCADE HEAT PUMP WORKING BETWEEN 348 K (75 DEG C) AS EVAPORATING TEMPERATURE (R114) AND 428 K (155 DEG C) AS CONDENSING TEMPERATURE (WATER). THEY PROPOSE A SOLUTION TO PRODUCE STEAM AT LOW (200 KILOPASCALS) OR MEDIUM PRESSURE (500 KILOPASCALS) WITH A CASCADE HEAT PUMP RECOVERING ENERGY FROM THE MOISTURE AT THE EXHAUST OF DRYERS AND SHOW THE RELATIVE IMPORTANCE OF THE FLOW OF AIR AND OF THE FLOW OF STEAM GETTING OUT OF THE PRODUCT TO BE DRIED, ON THE AMOUNT OF ENERGY WHICH CAN BE RECOVERED. A MODEL WAS DEVELOPED TO FIND THE OPTIMAL CONDENSING TEMPERATURE OF R114 REGARDING TO GLOBAL COP OF THE INSTALLATION AND INVESTMENT. THE HIGHER IS THE CONDENSING TEMPERATURE OF R114, THE LOWER IS TEEMOHCENEWNC THE AUTHORS PRESENT AN EXPERIMENTAL HEAT PUMP (250 KILOWATT THERMAL POWER).
