Ice slurry generation by direct evaporating of refrigerant.

Author(s) : WOBST E., VOLLMER D.

Summary

ILK (Institut für Luft- und Kältetechnik) deals with the development of a new ice slurry generation process without any mechanical components using a direct evaporation of refrigerant in water. The new process was demonstrated by a test arrangement at the ILK laboratory. Design and operation of the ice slurry generator, refrigerant circuit and ice slurry circuit are explained. First test results are presented.
