THE AUTHOR SHOWS THE GERMAN INCREASE OF FROZEN SEA FISH CONSUMPTION BETWEEN 1971 AND 1982, DIFFERENTIATING BETWEEN BREADED AND UNBREADED FISH FILLETS AND PRECOOKED FISH, AND SHELLFISH, FROM A TOTAL OF 45,270 TO 69,169 T, TONNAGES INCLUDING FRESHWATER FISH (CARP AND TROUT), WHICH DECREASED: 3,600 T IN 1971 AND 3,335 T IN 1982. THE OVERALL TONNAGE OF THESE PRODUCTS SOLD IN RETAIL TRADE INCREASED FROM 30,950 TO 40,465 T DURING THE SAME TIME, WHEREAS THAT OF THOSE SOLD IN WHOLESALE TRADE, DETAILED IN A TABLE, WHICH WAS 14,320 T IN 1971 REACHED 28,704 T IN 1982.
