Influence of the new refrigerant thermodynamic properties on some refrigerating turbocompressor characteristics.

Summary
A comparative analysis of the thermodynamic properties between the CFCs and their substitutes (the new refrigerants) is presented. The relation between the pressure ratio and refrigerating machine temperature lift is given for various refrigerants. The interdependance between refrigerant molecular mass, compression work, impeller peripheral speed, Mach number and pressure ratio of the turbocompressor stage is shown and discussed. The flow phenomena in the turbocompressor flow field, caused by the high Mach number and high pressure ratio are analyzed. Some conclusions are given.
