THE FLAMMABLE MIXTURE OF 13% DME AND 87% R12 IS PROPOSED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR R12, BEFORE THE INTRODUCTION OF APPROPRIATE SUBSTITUTES. BECAUSE OF ITS REDUCED CONTENT IN R12, A SUBSTITUTE CONSISTING OF AN AZEOTROPIC MIXTURE OF R12 AND DME ALLOWS AN IMMEDIATE REDUCTION OF R12.
