Summary

The paper summarizes main results of investigations of physical and thermodynamic properties of C1 ozone-friendly azeotropic blended refrigerant, a possible replacement of R12, and of tests in various types of refrigerating equipment. The efficiency of using C1 refrigerant, in terms of refrigerating capacity and coefficient of relative power, without any modifications to compressors designed for R12 refrigerant and using mineral oils, and without major modifications to R12 refrigerating equipment, is demonstrated.
