Summary

The document presents the results of projections up until 2025 according to three different scenarios. These scenarios are defined by existing and draft regulatory measures, and also by currently observed technological or environmental trends. Important changes have been introduced since the previous inventories; these changes are discussed in each chapter.
Extract from the table of contents: overall method and results; domestic refrigeration, commercial refrigeration, refrigerated transport, industrial refrigeration, water chiller units, stationary air conditioning, residential heat pumps and mobile air conditioning.
The themes studied for each sector are: projection hypotheses, refrigerant demand, refrigerant emissions bank, refrigerant emissions in CO2 equivalents, refrigerant recovery. In an annex, the document presents European regulations concerning ozone-depleting substances.
