Summary

Report of a Working Group Meeting convened by ICGFI, held in Washington, DC, March 22 to 25, 1994. It develops a set of principles and guidelines to facilitate acceptance and implementation of irradiation as a quarantine treatment of fresh produce as well as a detailed quality control programme. Specific recommendations to governments, industry and trade to facilitate implementation of the treatment are also made.
