Summary

This volume provides the thermodynamic tables for HFO-1234ze(E) (trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene), which is considered as a promising refrigerant for room air conditioners and turbo refrigerators. Since the European Union introduced the F-Gas Regulation, low-GWP refrigerants are expected as promising alternative candidate. These refrigerants have much smaller GWP where they are nonflammable (or very weakly flammable) and are less danger of flammability and toxicity than those for HCs or R717.
This brochure contains a summary of general properties, literature survey, and thermodynamic properties of HFO-1234ze(E). A thermodynamic equation of state is presented with ancillary equations for the ideal-gas isobaric heat capacity and the surface tension.
Extract from the table of contents: symbols and units; conversion factors; general properties (key properties, enthalpy of vaporization, saturation pressures, surface tensions); database (critical point, ideal-gas specific heat-capacities, surface tensions, vapour pressures, saturation densities, PVT properties, heat capacities and speeds of sound); equation of state (Helmholtz energy equation of state, thermodynamic properties).
In the appendix: thermophysical property tables; pressure-enthalpy diagram.
