Summary
This paper describes the design details of a dual stage ammonia refrigeration system servicing a large, new commercial cold storage facility in South East Queensland, Australia. Comparisons with a similar existing facility show a reduction in annual energy consumption per unit volume of cold storage of more than 30%.
