Summary

Coordination of research in the wide fields of food processing, risks of contamination and, more widely, implementation of processes, has led (in 1993) to the setting up of a scientific interest grouping (Gis RIA) devoted to key technology. The Working Party on Logistics has highlighted problems at all levels in the cold chain and in the product-traceability field, these being the constant concerns of all stakeholders in the cold chain and for whom compliance is capital.
