Magnetic resonance imaging assisted temperature calculations in multiple domain freezing problems.

Author(s) : HONG J. S., RUBINSKY B.

Type of article: Article

Summary

A new technique for analyzing problems of heat transfer with phase transformation in multiple domains was described. The technique employs interactive MRI imaging, thermocouple measurements, and finite difference analysis. The paper illustrates the ability of the technique to calculate the temperature distribution in multiple freezing domains that merge.
