Summary

THE COOLING SYSTEM FOR AIR WITH ACTIVE HUMIDIFICATION IN COLD ROOMS FOR FROZEN FOODS IS DESCRIBED. THE BASIC RESULTS OF THERMAL AND TECHNICAL FIELD TESTS IN A 400 T ROOM OF A DISTRIBUTION COLD STORE AT KLIN (MOSCOW DISTRICT) ARE GIVEN. IT WAS ESTABLISHED THAT THE ACTIVE HUMIDIFICATION OF AIR FROM AN AIR COOLER BY ADDITION OF EXTERNAL AIR WITH HIGH MOISTURE CONTENT MAINTAINS AIR RELATIVE HUMIDITY AT 100% IN COLD ROOMS FOR MEAT. THE MOISTURE INTRODUCED IS WELL MIXED WITH AIR IN THE ROOM AT A TEMPERATURE BELOW 273 K (0 DEG C). IN THE LOADING SPACE OF THE ROOM A UNIFORM TEMPERATURE-HUMIDITY FIELD EXISTS. THE RESULTS OF MEAT WEIGHING SHOWED THE ABSENCE OF DRYING LOSSES.
