Summary
THREE MODELS WERE USED IN ORDER TO DETERMINE BACTERIAL GROWTH ON GROUND MEAT. MODELS 2 AND 3 WERE BASED ON BIOLOGICAL ASSUMPTIONS, MODEL 1 IS A GENERAL LINEAR MODEL. BY USING MODELS 2 AND 3, ONLY ONE VARIABLE CAN BE ANALYZED AT A TIME ; ON THE OTHER HAND, WITH MODEL 1 SEVERAL VARIABLES CAN BE STUDIED AND DESCRIBED SIMULTANEOUSLY. THE GROWTH RATE AND THE TIME FOR A NUMBER OF BACTERIA TO INCREASE BY LOG 7.5 CAN BE ESTIMATED FROM THESE MODELS.
