Modified atmosphere packaging of tomatoes: controlling gas and humidity.
Author(s) : EVELO R. G., HORST J.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Two mathematical models were developed for predicting the relative humidity and the proportions of O2 and CO2 in atmospheres during storage of packaged tomatoes. A derived model is presented for studying water sorption by a humidity absorber placed inside the packages. The models produced results in agreement with those of experimental measurements.
