Summary
Fuerte variety avocadoes were stored in modified-atmosphere cartons with a very low O2 content or a very high CO2 content. The test was done for two consecutive seasons. The results were not very consistent from one season to another. Other tests were done by treating the ground under the trees with different calcium-enriched fertilizers. The results pertaining to fruit quality are presented and discussed.
