The authors provide a brief introduction describing why preservation using refrigeration is needed, then describe market features and demand, followed by the manner in which on-board evaporator technology addresses these needs. New trends in terms of vehicles and pallets, etc. are extensively covered in this course, and many examples are used to illustrate these trends.
