Natural gas and ammonia-vacant heat transfer fluids for refrigeration, heating, cooling and air conditioning.

Author(s) : VASILIEV L. L.

Summary

Natural gas, ammonia and hydrogen are the most common fluids for heat pumps, refrigerators air-conditioning and energy store systems. The purpose of this study is to analyze the possibilities to store the natural gas (methane) and ammonia in the active carbon fibre systems, to use these fluids as a working media for the solid sorption machines and to use propane and isobutane as a fluid for the vapour-compression refrigerators. Natural gas and hydrogen are the best alternatives for liquid fuel replacement.
