THIS PAPER DISCUSSES A NEW ABSORPTION CYCLE FOR A DUAL-STAGE WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION HIGH TEMPERATURE HEAT PUMP. THIS NEW HEAT PUMP CAN HEAT 313 K (40 DEG C) WATER UP TO 343 K (70 DEG C) (USING 313 K WASTE WATER) WITHOUT CRYSTALIZING OF THE ABSORBENT AT A GENERATOR PRESSURE LESS THAN ATMOSPHERIC. THE COEFFICIENT OF PERFORMANCE OF THIS HEAT PUMP IS 2.26.
