New developments in heat exchangers for automotive design.
Date: 1900.01.01
Summary
This SAE special publication contains 14 papers from the "General heat exchangers" session at the SAE International Congress, held at Detroit, Michigan, USA, from February 24 to 27, 1997. Contents of this publication include: thermal flow analysis of R134a multiflow-channel condenser for automotive air conditioner; modelling and simulation of thermal and hydrodynamic performance of heat exchangers for automotive applications; measured and predicted effects of air flow non-uniformity of thermal performance of an R134a evaporator; numerical investigation of design parameters for an axial flow cooling fan; predictions of heat transfer and pressure drops in heat exchanger ducts with industrial fluids; thermal balance between the engine oil and the engine coolant of turbo diesel engine; high ambient evaluation of glycol coolants; comparison of aqueous mixtures of propylene glycol and ethylene glycol under simulated engine cooling conditions. Some of the papers will be abstracted in a future issue of the IIR Bulletin.
