New studies on emissions from electronic equipment.

Type of article: Article
Summary
Previous research has shown that air pollutants emitted from personal computers can reduce air quality, can cause health related symptoms and can reduce productivity of office workers. In these studies, human subjects were exposed to air polluted by chemical emissions from one brand of PC that has been in use for three months. The PC consisted of a tower and a cathode-ray tube monitor. To generalize these findings to other brands of PC and other electronic equipment prevalent indoors, the present experiments were designed.
