Summary

The paper describes the status of development and production of non-ozone depleting (or ozone-saving) refrigerants-replacements of the prohibited R12 refrigerant. The paper presents the following refrigerants developed by Russian specialists: an azeotropic mixture of R152a and R600a refrigerants that was named C1 and has a zero ozone depletion potential and a relatively low global warming potential (GWP= 98, GWPCO2= 1,0); a zeotropic mixture CM1 based on R134a/R218/R600a, that has a zero ODP and GWP= 8000; zeotropic mixtures based on transitional refrigerants, R22, R21, R142b (or R134a).
