Summary
THE MOST INTERESTING RESULTS WERE ACHIEVED WITH MINOLTA CHROMAMETER II. THE COLOUR OF NUMEROUS STRAWBERRY CULTIVARS, PLOTTED IN THE HUNTER A,B DIAGRAM, GAVE A WIDE SPREAD, WITH CULTIVARS CONTAINING THE MAGENTA COLOURING PIGMENT, IDAEIN, LOCATED IN DULL AREAS, WHILE THE OTHERS WITHOUT THIS ANTHOCYANIN WERE IN THE BRIGHT AREAS. PLOTTING BRIGHTNESS AGAINST SATURATION SHOWED THAT THE MAJOR PART OF CULTIVARS HAD A BRIGHT COLOUR.
