Summary

THE PAPER DEALS WITH THE PROBLEM OF THE PROPER CHOICE AND EXPLOITATION OF ALL DEVICES OF ONE TYPICAL COOLING PLANT FOR ICE PROCESSING IN DAIRIES. IT HAS BEEN ESTIMATED THAT THE MAIN INFLUENCE ON REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT SIZE IS THE EVAPORATOR HEAT FLUX, ACCUMULATION RATE AND THE ICE THICKNESS AT THE BEGINNING OF MILK PROCESSING. A CALCULATION HAS BEEN MADE FOR A DAIRY CAPACITY OF 50,000 L/DAY.
